On a summer day while looking for a place to go and get home in one day we decided to drive to Washington on the Brazos. We haven’t been there is many years. It turned out to be the same quiet state park we remembered from years before. Located in the western edge of east Texas it’s an easy drive from Houston.

Tuesday, August 18, 2020 is the usual hot summer day in Texas. You can count on a pleasant drive in the country and refreshing ice cream from the Blue Bell Creamery in Brenham.
